Want to maximise your energy and effectiveness? Use the Pomodoro technique.
So named by its inventor- Francesco Cirillo in the late 1980s. It uses a kitchen timer to break work into intervals, typically 25 minutes in length, separated by short breaks. Each interval is known as a Pomodoro, from the Italian word for tomato, after the tomato-shaped kitchen timer Cirillo used as a university student. By working in short bursts, you maximise focus and effectiveness. The breaks give your mind further clarity and context for the next 25-minute session.
We all have the potential to become thought leaders in our industry, and model excellence for our clients, families and community.
